Visiting Scholar Housing Options

Printer Friendly Printer Friendly (new window)

Visiting scholars are eligible to reside in University Housing but are not given the highest priority. After demand among graduate and professional students has been met, UCLA will offer housing to visiting scholars for the duration of their appointments. Visiting scholars are eligible to reside at Keystone/Mentone, Rose Avenue and Venice/Barry complexes only. More information on campus housing options is available on the University Housing website.

Applying for University Housing

In order to submit an application for University Housing, you will need to complete the online University Apartment Application and pay an application fee.

If you are applying before you have become officially approved as a visiting scholar, you can request a temporary logon ID through online application form. Note, do not enter an ID number or password, but rather, simply click the submit button and you will be taken to an application to request a temporary logon ID and password.

If you are currently a UCLA Visiting Scholar, you can use your Bruin Online (BOL) account user name and password to log on to the application form.

Off-Campus Housing

Another University office providing assistance with locating housing in vicinity of UCLA is the Community Housing Office. For an annual membership fee, you can obtain current listings of a variety of housing options near campus.
