Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the UCLA campus. I hope that your stay at UCLA will prove challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding. You are now part of an exceptionally promising and diverse group of scholars and professionals in training, and we look forward to the contribution you will make to the intellectual vitality of the community.

This guide contains information that will help orient you to UCLA, its opportunities and its programs. It's intended to supplement the more detailed information you will receive from your department regarding the specific resources and requirements for your own degree program. Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center
Provides cost-effective health care and health promotion services to currently enrolled students.

Bruin Online
Is a collection of services that provide the UCLA community remote dialup access to the Internet, email service, and web page space.

Career Center
Offers job listings, campus interviews, workshops, career fairs, and career counseling.

Early Care & Education
Operates four centers providing child care for children two-months to five-years old.

LGBT Campus Resource Center
The UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information, & advocacy services.

Office of the Dean of Students
The office exists to assist students with any questions about the University. The office serves as a primary link between students, faculty, and the administration on the University.

Office of Students with Disabilities
A campus resource that provides educational support services and programmatic access to students with verifiable permanent or temporary disabilities.

Ombuds Office
Offers mediation and dispute resolution services for UCLA students, staff, and faculty on a confidential basis.

Student Legal Services
Provides legal counseling and assistance regarding a wide range of legal issues to all currently enrolled UCLA students for only $10 per matter.

Student Psychological Services
Is a multi-disciplinary mental health center serving UCLA students with individual and group counseling.

The Center for Women and Men
Offers individual counseling and referrals, skill-building workshops, re-entry and non-traditional student services, leadership development opportunities, and more.

UCLA Escort Service
Campus Security Officers provide walking escort services every day from dusk until 1:00 a.m. Dial (310) 794-WALK to request an escort.

University Parents Nursery School
Is a cooperative school for 2- to 5-year-old children of UCLA students, faculty, and staff.
